Research

AHI partners with various key stakeholders in the kidney disease community such as leaders in kidney transplant, living donation education and research to increase access to transplantation for every CKD and ESKD patient.

Our partners include leaders from top ranked academic institutions, including Emory University and New York Presbyterian – Columbia University; nonprofit organizations such as Southeast Kidney Transplant Coalition, IPRO, and Quality Insights ESRD Networks, among others.

By sharing and analyzing de-identified data with our research partners, helps us better understand trends in transplantation such as referral and waitlisting rates, closed referral metrics, psychosocial support, and living donor engagement.

Through our collaborative partnerships, we are able to provide robust tools to the ESKD community to assist those during their transplant decision making process make more informed choices during their journey.

Goals:

  1. Support quality improvement initiatives to improve patient success from referral through waitlisting.
  2. Access and analyze unique data sets and metrics collected through TREX referrals and tracking capabilities to support future research opportunities.
  3. Bring ease and accessibility to the living donor referral and work-up process
